If you’re a breastfeeding mom craving something sweet, nourishing, and simple to make, these Lactation Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars will be your new favorite treat. They’re soft, chewy, and packed with ingredients that naturally support milk supply while tasting just like a classic chocolate chip cookie.

What makes these lactation bars even better is how easy and quick they are to throw together. There’s no fancy mixer required, just one bowl, a spoon, and about 20 minutes from start to finish. They’re perfect for those early postpartum days when you need something easy and comforting (and let’s be honest, when you barely have two hands free).

These cookie bars make such a thoughtful and delicious gift for a new mom. Wrap them in parchment paper or pack them in a small container with a sweet note for an extra personal touch. Pair them with one of the freezer meals from my 8 Cozy Fall Freezer Meals post, and you’ve got the ultimate postpartum care package any new mom would love.
Why These Lactation Bars Are Great for Breastfeeding Moms
These bars include powerhouse ingredients that are known to help support milk production and overall postpartum recovery:
- Brewer’s yeast adds B vitamins and minerals that may support a healthy milk supply. Choose the de-bittered kind for a better flavor. I like this brand (affiliate link) the best because it does not have the bitter taste like some brewers yeast powders do.
- Flaxseed meal adds fiber and healthy fats that help with digestion and hormone balance.
- Oats provide complex carbs and iron to help keep your energy and milk supply steady.
Made with wholesome ingredients like avocado or coconut oil, oats, and flaxseed, these are a filling snack that satisfies your sweet tooth without the sugar crash of store-bought treats.

Omg wow they tasted good i made them as cookies as I love cookies, I did 1 tablespoon of brewery yeast as I was worried about the taste as I am not a fan of it too much I did flaxseeds the 50g instead I had to figure out in Aus measurements as US is a little different and I am still trying to figure it out as I have stuffed many in past but yours is so easy to follow and understand.
So glad you liked them! Yes I put the gram measurements in there, hopefully that makes the conversion a little easier!
