Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup fresh dill
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup fresh chives
  • 1 jalapeño ribs and seeds removed
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup my homemade mayo https://christinesnotebook.com/easy-homemade-mayo/
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1-2 tablespoons water as needed for thinning

Instructions

  • Make a batch of homemade mayo using my homemade mayo recipe and set aside 1/2 cup.
  • Add the dill, parsley, chives, jalapeño, garlic, sour cream, mayo, olive oil, vinegar, salt, onion powder, honey, and additional sour cream to a food processor.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Add water a little at a time until the dressing reaches your preferred consistency.
  • Taste and adjust salt or honey if needed.
  • Store in the refrigerator for several hours before serving for the best flavor.

Notes

  • If you want a thicker dip style ranch, skip the water entirely or only add a tablespoon or two at a time.
  • This tastes even better after chilling in the refrigerator for a few hours because the herb flavors have time to blend together.
  • You can easily make this milder by removing all the jalapeño seeds or using only half of the pepper.
  • Approximate nutrition per serving (2 tablespoons): 120 calories, 12g fat, 1g protein, and 2g carbohydrates.
