Tart Green Grape

Print Recipe
Such a fun way to get your kids to their spinach with this ione. It also has green grapes that give it that tart, but taste flavor that makes it hard not to eat these by the handful. In the photo, these are the green bears.

Cook Time 2 hours 10 minutes
Servings 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 cup green grapes
  • 1/4 cup packed spinach
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped green apple (peels removed)
  • 1/4 cup apple juice - 1/2 cup apple juice (adjust to taste)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3.5 tbsp gelatin

Instructions

  • Blend all the ingredients, except the gelatin, in a high powered blender until smooth.
  • Transfer to a saucepan, turn on heat to medium/low.
  • Add 3 tablespoons of gelatin and whisk continually until all the gelatin is dissolved and there are no clumps.
  • DO NOT BOIL this mixture. Heat it until it is warm and then turn off the heat. It’s best to keep the sauce pan on the stove (with the heat off) to keep the mixture warm.
  • Place your silicone molds on a baking sheet for easy transfer to the fridge.
  • Using the dropper tool, fill the silicone molds for your gummy snacks. If you make all the flavors, you will have leftovers. I like to put the extras into snack sized portions in silicone muffins trays.
  • Transfer to fridge and let these set for 2 hours.
  • Pop your gummies out of the molds and transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to a week.
